How do I return my product?

What is the MouseMall Return Policy?
Products may be returned only when defective and within 7 days of your product's shipping date. Please ensure that the product is in the original packaging.

Unfortunately at present, we ship to South Africa only. We are hopeful to expand our services in this regard in the near future.
What to do when you receive a shipment.
When you receive a parcel, please ensure it is sealed. Check the contents of the parcel with the invoice received. If there is a discrepancy please contact our Customer Services immediately at

MouseMall's Shipping & Return Policy
If a customer is not satisfied with a product purchased at MouseMall, it may be returned within 7 days of the shipment date under the following conditions:
- If MouseMall has supplied the incorrect product or the product is defective, MouseMall will exchange it for the correct item(s). MouseMall will cover the delivery charges and arrange for the collection and delivery of the item(s);
- MouseMall will adhere to the warranty periods of products such as those applicable to Computer hardware. These products usually have a guarantee of one year, but some products have a shorter warranty period. Warranty periods will be given to a customer on request. Note that physical damage inflicted by the customer is not covered by warranties or guarentees and any such damage invalidates the warranty. Determination of what constitutes physical damage is done by the supplier of the item;
- MouseMall will not be liable for incompatibilites in computer hardware. Should an item purchased be incompatible with your exisiting hardware, you may return it within 7 days of despatch providing it is in its original condition, and is accompanied with all its, undamaged, packaging and all the cables, CDs and other material. A handling fee of 30% is applicable to the return of incompatible products as well as a shipping fee. The shipping fee will vary, dependent on where you are located, and will be quoted on request;
- Electronic goods can be returned for testing during the warranty period. If however it is found not to be faulty, or the item was physically damaged by the customer, the shipping fee to and from the customer, and a handling fee of 10% of the product's price will be levied. Our suppliers will be the sole judge of what constitues physical damage by the customer.
Why is my ID Required by the couriers?
On occasion orders over a certain value will require you to produce your I.D. book when the courier service delivers your order to you. This measure is merely a security measure to ensure the correct person takes delivery of the order. When you place your order, you will be notified on the final sales confirmation screen and in the sales confirmation e-mail when your I.D. will be required.
Delivery to Regional Areas
Deliveries to towns outside of the major Metropolitan Areas (Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town) will also be done by GlobeFlight Couriers. We will notify you by e-mail as soon as your order has been shipped and your Global Flight tracking number will also be provided. In most cases your package will be delivered to your door step within 24 to 48 hours since when it was dispatched.
Delivery to Major Metropolitan Areas
Delivery to Major Metropolitan Areas will be done by means of our courier service.
When will I receive my order?
Above the "Add to Cart" button for every item on the site will be a shipping period statement such as "Normally ships within 5 working days". This is an indication of how long an item is expected to take, before it leaves our warehouse. In order to calculate your expected delivery time, take the item with the longest shipping period, and add the courier delivery time. For major metropolitan areas the courier delivery time is 24 to 48 hours. For regional areas the courier delivery time is 48 to 72 hours.

Item 1 - Normally ships within 5 working Days
Item 2 - Normally Ships in 4 working Days
Item 1 has the longest shipping period of 5 working days
For delivery to major metropolitan area delivery can be expected from day 5 - day 7 after your order's payment has been authorised.
For courier delivery to a regional area (if the package includes electronics) delivery can be expected from day 6 - day 9.
Notes :
- The countdown in terms of the shipping period only begins once your payment has been authorised. For credit cards this means once the bank gives us an authorisation code. For cash deposits and Internet transfers this means once the funds reflect in our bank account.
- Working days are defined as Mondays to Fridays, excluding Government Public Holidays.
- Normally is defined as "under normal conditions". While every effort is made to ensure that all items are kept up to date, it can occur that between our last update, and your order, the status of an item may change. The shipping period is our best estimate of how long an item will take, and is not a guarantee of delivery within that period.
What happens if an item from my order isn't available within the shipping period?
While MouseMall continously updates its systems with the latest information from our suppliers, it may happen that between our most recent update, and your order an item may have gone out of stock, been discontinued or delayed beyond its normal shipping period for other reasons.
In these instances we'll try and advise you of an Estimated Time of Arrival, and will then present you with the following options. You will receive notification of this occurance via e-mail to the e-mail address you registered with.
The options normally offered would include :-
1. Wait for the Stock to arrive.
2. Cancel the outstanding item(s) and receive a credit to use with a future order.
3. Ship what we have for you, and the outstanding items with a future order.
Once you've received the notification, please make the selection you find most appropriate for you, and notify us accordingly.
Shipping outside of South Africa. What to do.
Although we as a rule only ship to South African addresses, we understand some international customers might want to purchase our local goods. What customers can do though is arrange with their own couriers to collect their ordered goods from the MouseMall offices. (Refer address details)
To do this select the items you want to purchase and proceed to the Checkout screen.

Once we get our ordered goods we'll send out an automatic email to you telling you that your items are Ready for Collection. You can then arrange with your courier to come and Collect your goods from us. Be sure to instruct the courier to quote us the Order ID to we can locate your order.

When does MouseMall have stock of an item
In order to offer the greatest pricing flexability and broadest range of products MouseMall does not as a rule carry stock of the items available to order. The vast majority of items are ordered directly from our wide range of carefully selected distributors. The period an item will take before its ready to leave our premises is indicated next to each product with the statement "Normally Ships within X Working Days".
There are occassions however when a particularly sought after product might be ordered in advance by MouseMall. In the case stock will be available for immediate despatch of this particular item. If this is the case the item will show Ships in 1 Working Day. Only items that show Ships in 1 Working Day are in stock at MouseMall.
